Week One  |  Week Two  |  Week Three  |  Week Four
Week One:

It's been a year since Jodi got married and soon it'll be a year since she left my house. My house is quiet again, since John finally moved out. Although, I still get a thrill every so often, when John's girlfriend's ex-boyfriend shows up at my house. LOL

Week Two: The Bad Week

This sure is a crummy week in Spring. It's been rainy, cold, and it even snowed! What's even worse than the weather is my health. It's been so long since I've been sick (about 2 yrs. since the last bout of pneumonia) that I had forgotten how weak, tired, exhausted and bad I could feel. The Friday before Easter I had to go to the emergency room since my doctor was closed for the holiday. The hospital verified the Thrush in my throat and gave me a script for an antibiotic ($160 for 14 pills). Needless to say, I've been pretty damned depressed this week, since life gave me this reminder of just how precarious my health is.

However, I did feel well enough by Easter that I did go to DO's to join in their family celebration. The food was good (I was able to taste again) and the company was entertaining.

Week Three: The Good Week

Now this week was MUCH better than last week. My health greatly improved! The weather turned warmer for a few days! The sun came out! And I went to an Indians game!

As a belated birthday present, my friends, Richard and Angie, got tickets to an Indians baseball game and all of us (including the kids, Ritchie and Becca. It was "Jim Thome Bobble-head doll day" for kids 14 and under. Damn! I gotta figure out how to con one of the kids outta their doll. It'll look GREAT on my desk at work!) jumped in my Taurus and went to Jacobs Field in Cleveland. We were running a little late for the game because of the road construction going up 77; but that didn't turn out to be a problem. The last of the rain moved through causing a 15 min game delay which was just enough for us to get there and find out seats. Even luckier for us, our seats were under the overhang of the scoreboard and were still dry!
The "Cardiac Kids" were up to their old tricks. Into extra innings (the 11th!), and looking like they were going to lose, Jim Thome stepped up to the plate, knocked the ball over the fence and brought in a two-run homer! Wahoo!!

Week Four:

They have finally finished the "de-construction" of my neighborhood. The entire block of homes beside me have been demolished. Thank goodness winter is over. Now I live my a big ol' empty field. I'd have to put up a snow fence to keep the snow from drifting up and covering my home. LOL I still haven't heard anything about where they are actually going to build the new school nor when. However, I have found the email for my councilperson, and I plan to see if he has the answers to my questions.

After the successful project of screening in my front porch last summer (AUG, Jim and I have started planning (yes, actually planning!) fencing in a portion of my backyard. I don't really use the yard much because it has seemed to open and exposed across from the open school parking lot and playground. Also, I am certain the pups will enjoy some actual grass under their paws.
