Nelson Ledges '05

It's becoming nearly an annual tradition to go hiking up at Nelson Ledges; so keeping up the pattern, Jim and I went again this October EXACTLY a year to the day of our last visit. As with the last visit, we also took Ritchie along with us.

Although the Summer was pretty dry and very hot this year, the leaves are looking very nice. Many people were saying that the leaves would not look so good because of the weather conditions. I was amazed by all the trees that were still green!

from the parking lot . . .

. . . and up into the woods

Although the sign says "Dangerous Cliffs", Jim looks like the dangerous one. LOL

Fall Leaves

My hiking companions, Ritchie and Jim

When we visited early in the Summer last year, the area was filled with millions of huge mosquitoes. This Fall the woods were filled with fungus of ALL varieties.

More of the fungus among us.

The three of us really enjoyed the hike through the woods
and the nice drive to and from the state park.
