After working for the Waikem Auto Group for several
years, I began to have problems with the boss. But often when one
door is closing, if you look hard enough, you'll find another
opening. So when things became more than I wanted to handle being
the computer geek for the auto dealership (managing over 150
computers), I left that job and ventured out onto my own.
While I had been working at the dealership, I had made a lot of
contacts with people working at the dealership and their customers.
Many of these people had been asking me to come to their house to
help out with problems they were having with their home computers.
So, I began my new job as the "Computer Tutor", going to people's
homes (I was the "Geek Squad" before BestBuy started their program).
Not only did I clean up the spyware and fix multiple problems on
each computer; but I also taught my clients how to make flyers,
write school reports, use Excel and Word, play games on Pogo, surf
the web and use an instant messenger program. |
