Week One  |  Week Two  |  Week Three  |  Week Four
Week One:
Joyce - mom to Richard, Jodi, Melissa, John, Linda, and several cabage patch kids, like me!
I was FINALLY able to give the laptop to Joyce, after all these months. She and I are both glad that the mess with Best Buys is over. So far, Joyce has been a quick study and hasn't had too many problems. She can play FreeCell and email so, for right now, she is happy as a clam!
How to I find FreeCell?
Ah, there it is! FreeCell is my favorite!

Week Two:

Boy, did this Monday into one odd day. I got up feeling fine. However, by afternoon, my back started aching something fierce. But I hadn't done anything (that I remember anyway LOL) to make it hurt. So as I was sitting there in pain, I got a call from Jim - With a job offer!!! The car dealership where Jim works is in need of a person to handle their inventory on several of their websites and auto search engines. Of course, after my experience with the other dealership a couple years back, Jim thought that I might like to do this. For a lark, I drove out to meet with the dealership owner. Within 3 minutes, I found myself shaking hands and promising to come in at 9AM tomorrow to start my job. I guess that in the morning, I will begin to update several websites AND take pictures of used cars on several lots. I've also got to check with Social Security about just how much I can make before losing benefits. Mr. Waikem (the dealership owner) knows some about the disability check that I receive, and is willing to pay me under the table for now, and will wait to see how much I can actually earn. If it's a problem, he is willing to continue to pay that way (up to $500 a month!) so that I don't lose anything. Although he'll pay up to that amount, he has hired me for 30-40 hrs a week @ $8.00 an hour.

Isn't that the most amazing thing?! Wait, it gets better. Mr. Waikem is also on the board of owners of Autobytel.com, so that means a lot of support and software for me. And the district Autobytel supervisor just happened to be in today. As he personally showed me the software, camera, laptop, and website, we chatted about my experience with Montrose. He knew exactly what I was talking about. He had spoken with Montrose after Jodi and I quit working for them. He was quite impressed with the all the work I had done, and thought that that car dealership was run by a lot of idiots, too!! He tried to tell them the same things I had, and had tried to explain that they had had a great deal with me. But he grew tired of them and finally gave up.

To sum it all up:
My back aches for no apparent reason
I got a job paying about $320 a week under the table
My previous website work WAS noticed and appreciated
And I was totally right in the Montrose ordeal!

I work in the Chrysler Bldg. Jim works next door, in the Mitsubishi Bldg.
This is another picture to "MouseOver"!!
(MouseOver BOTH sides of this picture to see where Jim and I work)

WebSite UpDate Just a note to everyone about my websites:
I have finally fixed the problem with the email forms at the bottom of each month's news. Unfortunately, I am still having a few problems. I would like to be able to provide a button for you to use to return; but for now, you will have to click on your browser's BACK button.
Oh yes, I have also added quite a few names to the drop down list. I would like to say "THANKS!" to all of y'all that have visited and sent me some email. So, if your name isn't there yet, make sure you let me know!

Week Three: "All work and no play makes Leatherman something, something"

All work and no play makes Leatherman go crazy. All work and no play makes Leatherman go crazy. All work and no play makes Leatherman go crazy. All work and no play makes Leatherman go crazy. Week Four:

Work is going ok. It's been very hectic because the inventory was very out of whack. However, I have already performed miracles. I've fixed a couple of printing, got a couple of computers un-f**ked up. I even got a couple of calls at my home from the bossman (who was in Florida giving some internet presentations). Of course, I was able to talk him though connecting the laptop up with a projector so he could show his PowerPoint presentation. Speaking of PowerPoint, my boss (Doug Waikem) had asked me if I knew how to do them. I've worked with them some (but really had nothing to say) so I told him that I had dabbled with it. To really show off though, I am currently working on a presentation to show off a new idea I have about how to photograph the used vehicles. As soon as it's done, I'll see if I can't get that presentation online for y'all to see also.
