Week One  |  Week Two  |  Week Three  |  Week Four
Week One:
As I mentioned last month, the snow hasn't deterred the construction crew next door. I've had to keep the curtains closed on that side of the house recently because those huge cranes were scaring the doggies. Matter of fact, they scared me some too. These pictures were just outside my kitchen window.

Week Two:

That's Mark, Tara, and Austin on the Office Cam
I have nearly completed a recent project. Expert Auto Collision is now online! (expertautocollision.com) My boss at Waikem's has been friends for years with the owner of a small auto body repair shop. He sent me over to help them out with some computer things, and I've nearly become their newest employee. :D VBG very big grin

Week Three:

Even though my last blood results were good, I'm still only on the upside of being sick. I've recovered fairly well; but my counts still aren't great and I've gotten a little sick for the last 4 or 5 days. Sniffles, sneezes, and a killer headache. sick

It's snowing again! Although they've predicted 6 inches or more several times this month, we've never gotten more than 1 or 2 inches at a time. But not this time. This time it snowed all day and night and we ended up with about 1 foot of snow. Being sick lately, my sleep patterns were all screwed up. This picture was taken at 4AM. I have to watch it. Anytime the doggies think that I'm awake, they tend to think it's time to go potty. So I had to bundle up and go out and shovel so they could even get out the back door! As you can tell, me and my trusty shovel tackled the sidewalks at 4 in the morning, too. LOL

Of course, being sick and having a foot of snow isn't enough in my thrilling life. No plows came down my road for the first 36 after the snow storm. When they finally came through last nite, not only did they scrape my car, and bury it up to it's windows in a rock-hard casing of ice; but they shoved so much snow up onto the corner that they crushed right into several of my shrubs. I don't think there's any damage to the fountain but it's hard to tell - it's still well below freezing (we've only had a couple of days over 32 in the last 2.5 months!), but everything was buried under a hill of snow and ice now.

Do you remember how I told you at the end of last month to pay attention to the last picture of the month (the one of my snowy house, yard and shrubs)? Here are the pictures of the corner (the same corner where I found a TV last December ;) wink, wink) now, buried under the snow. They took a report from me, and when the city is finished plowing and the weather breaks enough to melt this pile, they promised to come out, investigate and "make things right." Stay tuned!

Now, what just galls me about the whole thing is instead of piling all this snow on the school's property on the other side of the street, they piled it onto the corners of my and my neighbors. What makes the school property different?, you ask. The facts that they had NO sidewalk, no car parking and no driveways to block on that side of the road. Whereas, ever since I moved into this house, MY sidewalk has been the one the kids use coming and going from the school. And those plow bastards keep covering up my clean walks under a ton of ice and snow. Now the kids have to climb the mountain of snow on the corner to walk between their homes and school.

Once again, I'm going to have to give out a big thanks to Jim. There I was still sick feeling, my car was buried and my shrubs crushed. He came over with his snow blower and we unburied the car and cleared off the cement pad out back to get my car safely off the street, before another plow came by!! ;) wink, wink:D VBG very big grin
