Week One: |
Once again, I'm a little late with pictures from last month. Please go back to September and check out the pool, puppy, and party pictures!!
I picked up my last paycheck from Waikems, and finally spoke to my boss. Actually, I "shushed" him as he tried to interrupt me and the Office Manager while we were chatting. We then discussed bringing in our house plants before the frost and that was all. What a wimp he is. LOL
Now, I have two jobs that are starting to keep me fairly busy. I've been zipping between Expert Auto and my new "Computer Tutor" clients - teaching, updating, cleaning up, and setting up. In the little bit of spare time that I've have, I've designed two new sites to showcase my services.

The Computer Tutor
Now, I'm officially doing what I've been doing all along. When I wasn't working for Waikem's, I was already going around to friends, and friends of friends, helping them with their computers. These machines are infiltrating all of our lives now, and not too many of us are sure how to handle them. If you give me a call, I'll set up an appointment to come to your house as a personal "Computer Tutor". My services include: updating and upgrading your system, cleaning up trash and bad stuff, and training you on how to use YOUR software to get the most out of your computer.

Memories
After the recent wedding of a friend (Tara from Expert Auto - see last month), I've also designed a site showcasing my services to create Photo Presentations as "Keepsake Discs". With your photos, I will create a beautiful PowerPoint presentation, along with CD case inserts and labels, to store and show off your precious memories. Re-live a graduation or wedding. Share your photos with ALL your family. Or
safely store those photos for future generations.

Week Three: |
 |
Say "Rrroaarr!" to Austin (Tara's son). What you can't see here real well, is that the breathing mask he is holding up looks just like a dinosaur face. |
This is my oldest nephew, Jonathan, showing off his new glasses. Now he has no excuse for not learning in school. LOL |
 |
 |
Wonder WHO this is?!? That's right, it's ME!! ROFL Home from my journeys and in front of my computer like usual. |
DO's puppy, Rosita, just keeps getting
cuter and cuter AND she really loves her uncles (mIkIE and Jim) a lot!
 |
Speaking of other people's pets, an old friend from my childhood, recently lost his cat, Tabitha. When we were kids, Jackie lived just down the street. A while back, he came across my websites and got in touch with me. Through the last year or so, he's been dealing with a sick kitty. I commiserated with him some, having dealt with pet health issues myself over the years. Through the vet, Jackie has been regularly posting info about Tabitha online and although she wasn't doing too bad lately, she finally took a turn for the worse, and poor Jack had to go through the worst part of having animal companions - setting them free from their pain and illness. I've been through this too many times myself, and sent a big bundle of good wishes and sympathy to Jackie during this difficult time. |

Week Four: |
Halloween is just around around the corner now, and here's a couple of scarey pictures. |
 |
Linda's kids, Kayle and Kerrie, stopped by all dressed up. And what great costumes. You've got to hand it to them for being up on current events as they are dressed up as a white tiger and Roy (after that tiger attack!).
 |
My webcam got a SCARY visitor too!! I'm just glad that this visitor was only here "virtually". Poor DO though! "Death" was at HER house!! |

PoolCam gets a Halloween make-over. LOL |
a Magical Mystery Tour |
Jim and I had another adventure this month and we took DO along this time. All we had told her was that it was a "Magical Mystery Tour", and we'd head out around 5pm and return by midnight. Once we got into the car, we played Twenty Questions, and with just an off-hand comment, DO guessed our destination after only using 10 of her questions. We were on our way to see the Ringling Brothers Circus at the Gund Arena in Cleveland. Although the trip was a bother in the rain and all the construction (they have been turning I-77 into a 6 lane highway up here), we had an EXCELLENT time. Of course, I took plenty of pictures for you to see. Just click the special picture below. |

 | For $10, I got a huge bag of cotton candy and this great hat! |
There's been some more sad news here at the end of the month. My Granny (Dad's mom) has passed away. |
Wenton Bivens |
 |
The last time I got to see my grandmother was in July 2002. I had been quite distressed to see how much old age had taken from my grandmother; but now she has passed on to join her husband and two sons and is out of the pain, confusion, and illness that had stricken her. |
Jim helped me with a project that's been on my list for over a year. Even though I was feeling a little under the weather (ran a fever, had some hives, got a touch of thrush), we got us some lumber, and put up a handrail by my front porch. I've still got to paint it; but it's up and works quite well. Now DO will have NO excuse about her bad knees and my icy steps. She'll be able to visit me anytime this winter. LOL |
 |
I'm going to end this month on a happy note. Halloween is now another
occasion for DO's incredible cut-out cookies!!! Yummy! My favorites and I didn't have to wait till Christmas. LOL |
|
LATE BREAKING NEWS |
Next month's update will include information about another concert!!! On the 13th, I'll be heading to Cleveland again (this time with Linda) to see DURAN DURAN. WooHoo! The 80's rule! |
