Oh boy! Just like I said, I have been busy now! And feeling a little crappy and worn-out from it all. (I will have to mention to the doctor next week that I have been much more tired lately - and a lot itchier! But that could be a Spring/pollen thing. LOL Achoo!)
I've been busy with a lot of clients this last week and a half. Although I still haven't gotten a call from the CarpeTime guy (although I did see him in person after a "3-drink lunch" when he promised again to call me soon), I have been busy with an interior designer. This very professional lady (Kim Anderson) wasn't quite certain what she wanted. She just knew that she has a computer and ought to be using it.
The Computer Tutor to the rescue again! (Every job is different - cause everyone
uses their computers for different things.) So I'll be designing a website along
with a database of clients/vendors/stock.For the database, I'm going to really get down to learning Microsoft Access. LOL
Now you'd think that all that would make me busy enough; but I've still been working with a ton of other clients. An old friend (Mary Kirkman) had me set up her new computer. I hadn't been to her place in a long time and she gave me some pop top tabs that she had been saving for a year - two gallon freezer bags FULL!
The tabs? Oh the tabs I turn over to a very nice lady (Helen Wentworth) at my old job (Waikems) who turns them into a church group which helps cover the costs of
dialysis time for local kidney patients. (We checked into it and this one is not a scam. So me and all the people collecting tabs for me have been garnering some good karma for quite a while helping out some fellow human beings. )
Linda (DO's youngest daughter) got me to drive over to Alliance (about half way over to Randy's mom's - about 15 miles) to work on her business computer - and possibly some more clients.
Speaking of the Waikems, while I was delivering all the tabs, I stopped by and spoke with my good friend, Gayle (the boss' secretary). I even got to see my old boss (Doug - who had, amazingly, recommended me to my new interior designer client! ) He and his brother were quite happy to see me and see to that Jim had bought a car from their Hyundai dealership; but were quite distressed to see how we had pictured Jim "un-Waikem-izing" his car. ROFL
And also speaking of the Waikem's, I got another job working on Doug Waikem's ex-wife's computer.
Paula is quite nice lady, and I'm always happy to help her out - with two daughters (Jordan, 14, and Adrian, 12) she's got a mess on her hands trying to keep track of their internet activities. LOL
And through all this, I was counseling, consoling and encouraging a very good friend of mine who was interviewing for a new job. More news on that in a couple of weeks if it pans out.
So for the rest of the month (only 2 days left), I am planning no clients! Although, I still have two sitting around the house that I need to look at, and the interior designer's database and website. LOL I'm just glad the month is nearly through, the snow the other day didn't stick, and my flowers are all starting to grow. And I'm taking my meds, so when I see the doctor next week, he'll have good news to start out next month - plus with these clients, more and more of my past bills are getting caught up, so things are looking up. And pool time is a-coming!
Even with my busy schedule, I've still been working on some of my own projects (yes, I know that I still haven't put up the new version of
this site that I talked about earlier in the year; but I'll get to that sometime. ROFL ). project One is a time-lapse project. Everyday, I'm snapping one picture from my cam. It ought to be interesting to see the progression after a year. project Two is that cute little animated guy in the middle of the picture below. Who is that?!? Why, it's mIkIE, the Computer Tutor!
(maybe, I should make a ComputerTutor agent
too.) Click the composite image below to see all the pictures.
