Decorating for the Holidays

Jim brought over some of his decorations (it's his old artificial tree anyway) and helped me decorate the tree and the house for the Holiday Season.

Gabby wonders what all the fuss is about and when Santa is supposed to show up with HER presents. :)) LOL Laughing Out Loud

Christmas in Canton

Downtown Canton is well lit for the Holidays

Christmas in the Park

Stadium Park (named for the nearby Football Hall of Fame stadium) has a cute lighting display. Several of the displays around the lake are animated so that you can see the smoke from Santa's train, you can watch the kids throwing snowballs, or even see this Sea Serpent wagging his tail. (I'm not certain exactly how a sea serpent fits in with Christmas - short of the Santa cap on his head - but he is awfully cute reflected in the dark water of the lake at night.)

(my sister-in-law Angie served this up while we were visiting. It was so tasty, we tried it out at DO's. The verdict? It must have been good since it all got eaten up.

It wouldn't be Christmas without getting DO something Kincaid. My GrandMother had shown us that Kincaid has also published some books, so we got one for DO.

Christmas @ Home

After the get together up at DO's, Jim and I went back to my house and exchanged our gifts. Of course, I got the doggies a bunch of balls, pull toys, and rawhide chews to keep them happy for at least a month. LOL

Christmas @ Carolynn's

Silly me forgot to take any pictures of Carolynn on Christmas morning; but the 50-minute trip home was beautiful. With the ice from the snow storm still coating all the trees (it was only 10 degrees, so it's not like it was melting) and the sun finally out and shining, every tree looked like it was made from fiber optics or Christmas tinsel. It was quite magical.
