Week Two: |
You would think that it was already
January up here in Ohio, with as cold as it's been lately. The temps
have been in the teens and, ever since Thanksgiving, we've been
having sn*w off and on. This is what we woke up to the other
morning. |
 |
 |
Gabby loves playing in the snow. |
Out back,
at night,
in the snow,
on the webcam |
 |
The saddest sight though
is this one, of the pool covered in snow. I like the pool a whole
lot better when it's filled with sparkling clear water and a lot of
toys and floats! |
 |
mIkIE bundles up to handle
the cold weather (and he doesn't think too much of the cold
either. ) |
 |
 |
 |
Poor Jim! He's had a crisis and had to
go the the ER. The doctors told him that the lump on his neck isn't
cancer but the salivatory glands are blocked and infected! Ouch! |
Jim and I finally got around to putting
up a Christmas tree at my house (after we got out of the ER). Click
on this picture to visit my holiday pages to see what's so
interesting about my tree this year. |
 |
Even the dogz got into the
Christmas spirit.
Well, not really. LOL But we did put on the holiday antlers for a
few laughs. |
 |
 |
Neither Aries not Gabby
were really thrilled with the festive hat. LOL |
 |
 |
Hmmm. Zeus didn't mind the
antlers too much; but Gabby sure did. Between this second and third
picture below, Gabby was very upset with Zeus and a small fight
erupted. They stopped when I reminded them that Santa was watching
and making his list. |
|
My poor funny honey. Jim's
got horns and a lump in this picture. |
 |
Gabby didn't have a
problem with Joxer wearing the antlers though. |
 |
 |
Since Gabby was in
everyone's face (or maybe I should say "snout"), she hung around Jim
too long and got to model the Santa cap too. |
|
 |
DO got an early Christmas present from
her landlord - new carpet for the living room and dining room!
Since it was being installed early in the morning, several of
us went up there the night before and moved all the furniture out of
those rooms and stacked it all into the puzzle room. |
 |
 |
We left poor DO and Cliff sitting at a
card table in their empty living room. However, by the time I
returned the next night, the furniture was back in the place, the
carpet was on the floor and DO had gotten her Christmas tree up in time and
decorated! |
 |
 |
It's that time of the year again, so
guess what we're doing in this picture.
If you can't guess, then click the picture (for more pictures on the
holiday page) and you'll find out. |

|
Week Three: |
After icing cookies all weekend, I
returned to my house as a little more sn*w started falling. |
 |
 |
MouseOver
to see my fountain in the winter |
Oh, I should probably mention that, along with doing more Christmas cookies at DO's this past weekend, that Jim and I had another reason for having a great weekend -
it's our one year anniversary!
It doesn't hardly seem like it has been a year since I was in NC
with Jim, and finally realized that it was time to live a little bit
and enjoy the love that I have with Jim. Some days I still miss
Randy terribly; but my life hasn't stopped. I've been very blessed
to have had the love of two great guys. Jim is such a good guy
and so very good to me! Some time this week, we're planning on going
to our favorite restaurant (Outback), and celebrating our first year
together. |
|
|
Week Four: |
My mom doesn't know this yet (but she
will as soon as I get the update email sent out ); but her gift to me
this year was getting me back onto the internet. Actually Mom
sent me a check and I had enough in my account to cash the check
(since her check is a SC check and that's an out-of-state check, it
has to sit in the bank for 10 days - along with the check my
GrandMother sent), and I called RoadRunner and wonder-of-wonders,
they had an opening on Christmas Eve afternoon to get my cable back
on. |

I hope that you all enjoy your Christmas and I wish you the very best and happiest New Year!
As you can see from the calendar to the left, I've already added
links for 2006. I'll be here with more fun times, wild stories, more
projects, pictures of my dogz and my friends. I hope that you'll be
here too to enjoy the good (and bad) times with me. |
